How long have you been in business?
Kay Yamamoto, IAAS’s director and founder, was born in Japan and educated in America with a master’s in bilingual education. Kay has been a leader in bilingual education for 20 years, first establishing her educational foundation to teach Japanese, French and Spanish language and culture to over 1000 elementary students in the Greenwich, CT school system. After 5 years of directing and training the teachers to implement this progressive program, Kay decided to respond to the numerous requests to open bilingual preschools in the metropolitan area and opened 2 preschools in 1996 —one in Connecticut and one in New Jersey

We share a parking lot with the Closter Public Library and Ferrell's Woods, which is adjoined to the Belskie Art Museum. Our address is 300 High Street Closter, NJ 07624

What are your hours of operation?
Recognizing the varied schedules of working parents, the International Academy provides safe, secure and consistent extended day care for IAAS students as well as children attending other private or public schools. The before-school program operates from 7:00-9:00 am and includes breakfast time followed by energy-conserving activities. The after-school program operates from 3:00-6:00 pm and includes snack time followed by age-appropriate activities
